I was trying to find out if there is a good shop in the DFW area that works on turbo diesels and is not rediculously expensive. Or if anyone on here knows anything about them and knows where I can find step by step instructions on how to replace an injector pump on a 1995 chevy turbo diesel and how to keep it from burning up please let me know.

My dad has a 94 6.5, the injector pump is easy to replace you will need 3 special tools (made for the 6.5) plus the Tech II. One thing I found about my dad's truck in the PMD (pump mounted driver) keeps on going out, its the small black box located on the injector pump. I installed a PMD heat sink kit, they are expensive but you get a new PMD, this fix the problem with injector pump. After installing this the truck went 125,000-150,000 miles before the pump finally gave out.
The website I gave you is a very good place to use to purchase from.

You can also move the box if I recall over to the fender area to keep it away from the heat. I found a forum for those old diesels a while back but dont remember the name. You can do a search and find it I'm sure.
