new exhaust,terrible drone...

Default new exhaust,terrible drone...

i have a 2006 gmc 2500hd crewcab 6.0

just put the Dynomax Performance 39378 exhaust on and it sounds great but it drones so bad in the cab,anyway to eleminate it or atleast help some?

The magnaflow is known to drone at certain rpms and is quite annoying. I'd personally replace just the muffler with something like a dynomax superturbo as it is reasonably quiet and flows well. Your other option would be to add in a resonator which will help some with the drone, but don't expect any miracles.

a while back i had found an an online article about how wrapping the muffler helps with the drone. Check out post #16 on this link

Ended up sending the whole system back for a full refund. Cheaper than trying to fixit and not knowing if it would work
