need help, out of the game too long
#1
hey guys.. I have been out of the game too long. I used to keep up with what engine was available in what etc. I have since " fell off the wagon"
anyways I am wanting to buy a 3/4 ton GM truck, mainly to get a fullsize bed in a crew cab. In all honesty, I prefer the super duties after owning one, but cant afford the one I want. (6.7 diesel) I have drove several gas super duties and I honestly think there is too much truck there for a gas engine. Thats just my opinion though. I WANT a diesel but my trip to work is roughly 6 miles and its hell on a diesels economy when it cant even get warm. I am looking at 2005-2008ish trucks. This is where i need help. I DO NOT WANT a truck with active fuel management. I know the 6.0s didnt have it for a while, but have saw a few trucks for sale that advertise it. What year did they start putting in on the 6.0s? I had a 1/2 ton with the AFM and I hated it to the point of selling it.

thanks...i was really hoping i could get a "new" body style (2007-present) with a non AFM 6.0. I really like the body style of them better but I can live with the older one in lieu of the engine.
