Bad cat is my guess. Do a backpressure test on both banks.

Okay check the exhaust with a back pressure gauge everything checks out good, did a fuel pressure test all god there also..completely stumped! Cleaned throttle body and mass air flow sensor again and still there

Did you check fuel pressure under WOT? It's possible that the fuel pressure is fine at an idle, but under a load it will fall. You how many miles on your rig? Still running the original plugs and wires?

yup, check the pressure at WOT, tape the gauge to the windshield and have someone ride with you to check it.

And yes still original plugs and wires, the truck was owned by an older gentlemen who only used it to pull his 5th wheel and besides that it just sat

sounds to me like the torque converter locking at wot. wich i believe it does in the stock tune.

That's what I was thinking reading this thread. Since it seemed to do it at exactly the same spots in the power band and not in 1st gear...
