My favorite too, Andy. But it's getting harder and harder to find them in decent condition. We've been looking at different trucks for months now, and it's amazing how badly the majority of them are trashed.

I think in 2003 GM did away with the under hood lamp, and the footwell lighting. I know some other things got deleted as well. Or maybe it was 2004.

We had Schuck's, then O'Reilly's bought them out. That's where most of the ricer crap comes from up here. But they did just break ground last week on a new AutoZone here in Wasilla. So they're probably building in Anchorage also.

Of course, I'll be tempted to do something like this if the transmission ever needs a rebuild. But until then, I'm gonna keep it mild.

Thanks Ed, I appreciate the offer. But I already had my buddies at my former employer run it for me. That's something I check on every vehicle I consider purchasing.

I hear ya. I have looked a few times and people just drive things into the ground up here. It's tough to find anything that is over 8 years old in any sort of decent condition.

Well bro if im thinking correct it was 06 they stopped puttting nice carpet trim on the door panels( at least in the trucks, the tahoes may still have it not sure) and after 03 no foot well lights or underhood lights.

My 00 has nice door panels with carpet/fabric trim, my 07 classic LT3 has just plain plastic door panels and no extra interior or underhood lights.

So any way the 99-02 forsure have the nice trimmed panels, and i do know of up to at least 05 has carpet trimmed panels too.

Congrats on the purchase!! The issue with the injectors for the early year dieses, once you swap them out the issue is fixed right, it's not a re-occuring problem? Sounds like your saying he payed to have them fixed 30K ago but they are going out again.

So how long before you do the dual stacks sticking out of the bed. You know you need dual 24" diameter stacks coming out to fit in with the valley Diesel crowd

You need to take the hood off that truck, put it on your gasser, take the cap off the gasser and put it on that truck

The injector problem can be re-occuring, especially if the driver isn't adding conditioner/lube to this crappy ULSD fuel. But I understand that Bosch does have something better out, with chrome or something? That's supposed to be more resistant to erosion.

But there's actually several different conditions that can cause the P0093, so when time allows, we'll do some troubleshooting.

The cap will be swapped over this week! Not sure how I feel about swapping the hoods. Hmmm.....

Lemme see if I can find a pic of a HD with a cowl hood.
