I want to lower my truck 3'' front and 5'' on the rear since my truck is soo high my only question is will the normal silverado ones work on my truck or do I have to buy specific ones. If i can buy the silverado 1500 ones where to find them I want to lower my truck asap. My truck is an 04 2500hd RC

you will have to get a kit for a 2500hd. McGaughey's has alot of kits for your truck. You will have to just see what hanger you have and order accordingly.

I have McGaughy's brand new spindles for your truck. They lower the vehicle 2" in front and you can decrank your stock keys or buy drop keys to make it even lower.

I am running McGaughy's 3/5 on my 1500HD with keys in front and shackles/hangers in the rear. I like it and have been running it for 4 years. I found the axle frame clearance in the rear to be less than 3" and the frame would hit the axle on some bumps and dips. I added air over leaf bags from Air Ride Technologies and have never had to look back. These bags have built in bump stops and work like a charm on my truck. I know your frame and set up may be a little different but I would not hesitate to recommend McGaughy's for your project. You will likely need to shim the rear axle to get your pinion angle where you need it to be. I have a two piece drive shaft and added an adjustable carrier for it as well from DJM. I don't think you will ever get a 2500HD to look as low as the truck in black04's sig because of the difference in the frames. I think you would need to c-notch the frame and tub it to get it that low. Mine is as low as I would put it without major surgery and I still have a 4.5" gap over the stock tire to the fender lip.
