Default High Oil Pressure on my D-max

Hey guys I have an 04' D-max and the oil pressure on it is high when I start it up and wont settle down until about 3-5 stop and go's (over the course of a few miles stopping and going at red lights and stop signs). You can tell the truck is lagging when I first start driving but once it gets "broken in" and the fluids good then the truck runs great. Any ideas on what might be my problem? It has regular oil right now and I'm going to synthetic on my next change. It also has some aftermarket parts as well if you think that may add to my issue, either way any guidance is appreciated, thanks.

LLY or LB7??
What upgrades?(performance)
what grade of oil?
How long has the oil been in the motor?
How many miles on the motor?
as far as switching a higher mileage motor from conventional to synthetic bad idea

It's the LB7
Upgrades include BD Supermaxx turbo, BD exhaust manifold, 4" turbo back exhaust with RBP muffler, Airraid intake, Edge programmer.
I didn't actually do my last oil change so I don't remember what grade they put in it.
The oil has been in the motor for roughly 6-7 months.
The motor only has roughly 34,XXX miles on it.

oils a little old would recommend changing it
also with oil when it cold its more viscose and will cause higher pressure when my truck with 122,000 miles when i first start it in the morning the gauge is over 400kpa (i'm canadian) and when once it gets hot then it comes down as the oil gets thinner
As to the laggin of power after you start your truck how long do you let it idle before you drive? it cause i'm thinking that they maybe a safety in your chip that detunes your engine till its warm

Well here in Bakersfield it's about 80-90 degrees still so it's still warm outside but as for the oil change I did plan on doing one myself here at the house and trying out synthetic. It also could have a safety built into the programmer but usually I'm letting it warm up about 5 minutes or so before I drive it. What would be an ideal pressure for my oil to be at when it's idling?

LB7's are known for bad injectors, check the oil, is it over full? One of the things that goes wrong, injectors fail and they end up filling the oil with diesel fuel.

I could possibly be my injectors, I know Chevy put forward a warranty for injectors for 7 years from the date sold so is this something I can take in and have looked at and if it turns out being the injectors then nothing out of pocket for me?

if under warranty then that will cover the injectors. take it to the dealership and have them look at it. as far as switching oil goes, you don't "try" synthetic... once you switch you have to stay there. otherwise you can end up with a fricasseed d-max
