GM Cruze 2.0 oil burner

My dad like mine so well that when he got theirs, he had me get the same tune with only 333 miles on it! lol. My mom drove it the first time after I tuned it and said "that thing is dangerous!" lol she wasn't expecting it to be so snappy! But she got used to it and love it now too.

Not a Cruze, but....
I'm in a 2016 Malibu (rental) and it has the 1.5L turbo and 6 spd auto.
It's pretty fun and it will get up and go if you need to. I was surprised with it.
And cruising, it gets 36+ with an average of 28.4 city/highway (according to MyLink)
I would consider one as a commuter.

A commuter is all I purchased this car for I have my truck to go fast and look good in like it matters anymore as al bundy would say I;m "married with children". But I would like to get it tuned.
But man it is a dang nice little car it's comfy its quieter than the gasser due to added insulation. The stereo is pretty decent with the pioneer upgraded audio. I've got 1200 miles on it so far and the mileage is dam good 46-47 and it allows me to not put any miles on the truck and save a shiza load on fuel money enough to cover the payment and insurance and have money left after they pay out my mileage. The only other thing I did soon as I bought the car was drive it over to discount tire and get rid of the crappy firestones and put a nice set of Michelins on the car by and large holy crap what a difference in ride quality handling and vehicle NVH.

I had a 2010...2011...which ever the first year was of the gasser one. It was a decant car....I had a lot of issues with it...with brakes mostly, but the coolant pump went at 8K and the fuel pump at 60K, but the car its self was a good ride, quiet etc.
I live in a fairly hilly area, and it used to have trouble determining which gear to be in to tackle some of the hills at 60-65. Most of the time it would red-line its self in 4th to maintain speed with cruise control on.
I hooked up my HP tuners computer to it, removed the TM and limits on the turbo and it maintained 60-65 on the same hills in 6th. With a little more playing I actually made it into a pretty fun car to drive....for a FWD grocery getter. I know I was no where near the Trifecta tune....but it gained nearly 1 second to 60 and and went from 32MPG to nearly 38, 70/30 city/highway.
I can only imagine what the diesel would get tuned....you'd likely break into the 50's for MPG. I also like that they are super quiet outside the car...you can barely tell its an oil-burner from the few I have heard.

Did you ever figure out a way to delete the emissions crap and get a tune for it? I've been on the fence about trading/selling my 06 dmax to get a new truck but if I could find a diesel cruze to commute in and keep the truck for pulling trailers and hauling my camaro around I'd save a ton of money over buying a new diesel truck.

As much as I've wanted to. I've left it the hell alone it has a warranty and it's never hiccupped. I've put diesel, oil, and def in it and drove it.
Added a nice viper alarm and a couple ten's in trunk tinted the windows and let r rip tater trip. It's a work commuter so it's gotta go all the time everytime reliably.
