Default Finally test drove LBZ

Today I test drove a new 06 2500 LBZ 2wd QCSB. It was a baseline worktruck without really any options. I was very surprised how well it accelerated and the tiptronic auto is cool.
Does anyone have any 1/4 mile times on the new Duramax stock? I was pretty impressed with the 2wd one today. I'd definately like to get one in the future!

A lbz 4x4 extended cab stock on 4 hi can do 15.4 if you can launch that 2wd than id guess it be around the 15.1 mark.

A member over at The Diesel Place has a truck just like mine...totally stock and he ran a 16.23. I haven't had the chance to run mine yet.

I had an 03 QC 1500 Hemi 2wd that ran low 15's in decent weather a few years ago. The LBZ felt every bit as strong even stronger than that truck. Could the "Butt Dyno" be alittle off?

Before I bought my cummins I drove an auto duramax, auto cummins and a stick cummins, the auto duramax felt stronger than the auto cummins but didint beat the stick. And the other big push to dodge for me was all the cab noise in the Chevys, it was so loud inside.

Yea, I like those Cummins too. I may end up getting an older one because these damn diesels are so pricey! I'll have more money for mods too.

Yea, I also test drove the Cummins too. I really liked the 6 speed one. Felt like I was driving a semi.
The only thing I didn't like was the gear ratios. The Cummins was pulling too many rpm's on the highway. I must have test drove one with shorter gears. I can't remember the redline for the Cummins though.
The Duramax was at VERY low rpm's at 60mph in 6th gear. Seemed like it would be a better highway cruiser.
What gears do you have in yours?

1st 6.29
2nd 3.48
3rd 2.10
4th 1.38
5th 1.00
6th .79
Rear 3.73

I got the newer tranny the G-56, and I often am looking for a 7th gear. But I still manages to pull out 18+mpg at 70mph
