Default Duramax Swaps

What have you guys seen out there of these kinda swaps? They seem pretty cool, wish I owned one or could build one but I don't have the money or space for this kind of build. Have you guys seen any for sale? Here's a few swaps that I've found...

1966 Chevy Nova Wagon:

Chevrolet : Nova | eBay

1970 Chevelle:

1970 Chevelle with Twin Turbo Duramax Diesel |

1966 Chevy C10:

Get an dropped 80's 1ton dually 3+3, box the frame and trow in a D/A in it, paint it to match your truck... That would be a sweet tow set up...

There are alot of cool possibilities out there for sure! A 80's would be sick as well Rey, only think I'm wondering is what kinda of a PITA it would be to smog that. something pre-72 would be easier no?

Anyone else?

I've seen a couple body to frame swaps... I think if you keep the firewall you can get around most of the smog bs. I know there is a 80s chevy on a dmax frame on tech somewhere...

The chevelle is a local cat jules. Works at the muscle factory which is a chevelle/el camino parts house. Sick ride in person.

That 66 belongs to Matt Hughes the UFC fighter. I've seen it at a few shows and that thing is beautiful. I read a blog awhile back by someone that put a Dury into an 80's something OOBS. I'll see if I can find it again.

Also, the 66 is a chassis swap and sits on an '06 frame. Idk if that's easier or harder than doing an engine swap on a fullsize.

Sweet...I'm half looking for some kind of rolling chassis for cheap on ebay that's in decent shape. If I can find something for cheap enough I wouldn't mind buying a D-max and dropping it in. And if the guy's local I might try to find him and see what problems I could expect.

I've thought about chassis swapping stuff too. Haven't looked into what is easier, although that would also fill my need for a tow vehicle.
