The 6.0 is a good reliable truck but the d-max is where it's at. If my truck were my only vehicle I would have gotten a max but my truck see's less than 3,000 miles a year so it was not worth the investment for me.

Def wit the rest, if your going for a 2500 truck, the D max by far, then slap a exhaust and programer in it, you have a pretty stout d max

D-Max is definetely the way to go. My dad has a 2500 w/a 6.0...wont get out of its own way. I love my 8.1L 2500 HD, but its a GAS HOG!!! And not a good daily driver if your on a budget.

The 6.0's are great trucks, but I have to agree with the others points. At elevation and hills your mileage will suck with a 6.0 vs the duramax.

I went from a 6.0 gasser to a Duramax and I couldn't be happier. Get the 6 speed auto though, I couldn't find a 2wd dually with one so I got the 5 speed

A 6 speed is only a pile of cash and a valve body away!

I only did the bd manifold so I didnt have to worry about my manifold cracking from tapping it for the thermocoupler for the egt gauge. No performance gain what so ever just piece of mind knowing Im not going to crack my manifold while towing up a long hill in the middle of nowhere.
