Depends on the rims and the lift kit. The lift kit usually says what tires will clear.
a 6in kit usually will clear 35s, is it a concrete crawler or are you actually going to take it off roading?
Tires like that usually have terrible ride qualities and if you do any towing better get ones with a good load rating.

It's been a few years sense if looked at a lift kit, and can't remember the big name brands off hand. I'd look at an off road forum or YouTube the guys who do it for a hobbies. They generally don't use junk parts.

Is it a 2500hd or a 2500...? The trucks stock height is 2 inches taller with the frame difference. If a 2500 33s fit, 35s will need a crank and work. If its a 2500hd you can get extra clearance a few ways, one if you remove the top bumper cap and replace it with one from a 1500 you gain 2 inches more clearance. Two look up the nor cal fender mod, a bit more clearance with that. 35's with a 6 inch will fit with no problem, you can fit 37s with keys and an adda leaf tho....the ride suffers when you do that. If you dont go a crazy wide offset you will be fine. The farther the tire goes past the flare the more the rubbing will happen. These trucks are designed for the tire to turn into the inside of the fender and bumper, the more offset it tends to run into more fender/bumper rubbing. With an hd, 285/75/16 fit with a crank, 6 inch 35s, keys/adda leaf or 8 inch 37s. If you look at my avatar to the left mines an 03, i put the 1500 bumper cap on and raised the bumper up.....same idea as your 01.

Mine is straight axled now, i had the most luck with 4.5-5 inch backspace 9 inch wheels when it was ifs. The lift companies usually tell you what fits, i had good luck with the superlift bracket lift. They move the whole front suspention down to keep angles like stock, the 6-7.5 gives you room to grow later...lol.
