allison 5 to 6 speed conversion

Default allison 5 to 6 speed conversion

hey guys, i just found a new part from suncoast. it is a kit that will convert a 5 speed allison into a 6 speed allison. the kit consists of a new valve body and TCM. how does this work and does anyone have any experience with this kit.

What you need is a 6 speed allison and a gear vendors and have a 12 speed Don't think they make one but would be funny.

I thought the new Allison 6spds added an overdrive gear via addtional clutches etc. How would changing the vavlebody add a gear? Is it similar to the JET 6spd valvebody for the 4L80E?

CONVERT YOUR 2001-2005
ALLISON 5 SPEED TO 6 SPEEDS
Drops 325 engine rpm @ 75 mph. Increases fuel economy, increases engine life. Requires valve body and tcm change ( 2 hours) No wiring, no modifications required. Indicate LB7 or LLY & year ** not recommended for stock trans with power adders.
Price: $1885.00* OUCH! All that for 325 rpms?

325 for them is like 650 rpms for us. Does anyone know how it works?

First your going to need an Allison trans, sure as hell ain't going to work in a 4L60E.
