Default 8.1 suggestions for perf & maint before engine swap into 77 Airstream Argosy RV?

I'm about to swap a 2002 8.1l with allison 5 speed into a 77 Airstream argosy RV. I want to revamp the PCV system, do the intake mod, and make a nice cold air intake system.

I have read a few PCV mods is there a standardized mod yet? From what I've read so far I think I'm going to plug up the factory pcv completely and then mount one pcv in each valve cover, to a catch can, and then route back to the intake. I also plan on cutting out the baffle in the intake and having it welded back up(plenty cutting tools but nothing to weld aluminum).

The RV already has some very nice coated headers on the 454 with a decent dual 3 inch exhaust so I plan on using those on the 8.1l. That said, will removing the egr system cause an issue? Pinging? If it is tuned out I'm guessing it wont go through the lean burn and not need it as much.

Beyond that is there anything I should look for? I will replace the intake bolts and gaskets along with maybe the cam timing upgrade (https://ultrarvproducts.com/index.ph...oduct_id=17476)

Any worth while performance upgrades I should look for? Also does anyone have someone they would like to recommend for tuning(to remove the security and maybe some performance) along with a plug and play harness mod?

I read quite a few threads on each subject but most people went different directions. This motor wont be especially fun to work on once it is in the RV so I want to do as much as I can before she goes in.

Also the RV has hydroboost, are any of the factory Chevy power steering pumps setup for hydroboost(two return ports)?
