Gears, tune, 212/218 cam, long tubes, supercharger

If it really is a 5.3, with the 80e, its got a lot to tug thru on the bottom end. 4.88 gears would be my suggestion for that

A 6.0 at least

Even at that, those weren't exactly barn burners, as they came from GM.

You're fighting a serious uphill battle with a 5.3. Worse than a 1500 with a 4.8.

Yep a blower will easily make up for whatever loss. With cam and exhaust even better.

I thought all the 2500's came with a 6.0 unlessits the rare 2500 non HD model but it has an 80 in it? Could it be a 1500 HD?

Even 1500 HDs came with 6.0
I am thinking OP swapped it out or just listed it incorrectly
