I am about to regear my 2017 6 liter 2500HD to 4.56 and toss a Detroit Locker in the back. My truck came 3.73 from the factory and with my 34" tall tires 6th gear at 65 mph is pretty useless..... and it drones lol. Should give the thing a kick in the butt overall and finding parts even for this was a bit of a challenge as apparently nobody regears the gas versions of the 2015 up ever. It's pretty decent with a tune and muffler swap although I honestly have never hooked to my trailer with it..... I tow with my old 05 lol.

If you don't want diesel(and another truck payment), supercharge is the way to go. i put one on and dyno'd after.. 100 hp/120 torque as advertised.
