Default New Tow Pig

Finally found a truck worth buying after months of looking. Ended up flying to Dallas and drove it back to Pa. It's an 08 3500HD LMM LTZ one owner with 52k miles. Don't plan on doing anything crazy just gonna throw an intake and exhaust (dpf delete) on with a small tow tune. Also going to try and fix the factory rake with a leveling kit from Cognito. It's already set up for a fifth wheel so next up is a trailer purchase.

Look great! I just bought a Duramax a month ago myself, 04 that now has 30,500 miles on it.

Just a little update guys finally leveled this pig out and threw some 33” tires on it. Also went with a 4” downpipe back exhaust from MBRP, just waiting on the Tune from Dan’s Diesel Performance. Finished debadging the tailgate and couldn’t be happier with how it came out. Hopefully there’s a gooseneck behind it by April.

Looks even better now! Which tires and leveling kit did you end up going with?

Thanks man, ended up going with a Fat Bobs Garage Kit. If I daily drove this truck I would’ve splurged on the Cognito Kit but I couldn’t justify spending that much just to level this thing out. I did do shock extensions up front and to be honest it still rides like factory. Tires are 33” Federal Couragia and again I won’t be driving this truck very much other than hauling hay and the other truck back and forth to the track. Some people don’t seem to like the Federals but to be able to throw all new tires on a dually for under 1k I’ll make them work.

I thought about buying a leveling kit myself but so many people said don't do it. So I just turned my t-bars up a little bit. I think those shock extenders would be very beneficial to me even at only 1-1.5" cranked.
