I wouldn't walk away from that truck... I would run like Hell !!!

This is a Perfect example of when a Clutch dump needs to be done immediately...

I was going to Show you how much rust is on my 2006 GMC that I DD, But I can't find any...

Maybe I can find some on my 2005 LLY. I took that one off road and I know the last owner used it too.

Find a truck within a few hours of Orlando and I'll go check it out and drive it for you! give it the ole Florida test

But for real I will go check one out if you find one within a few hours.

Rust converters work pretty well, but it sounds like you've talked yourself out of this one: so on to the next

truth be told, from what I see, I'm not worried about that truck. But it's also not my money so it's easy for me to say "yeah ******* doooo it bro!" Lol

Stuff also doesn't rust in the desert like it does else where. I've always been jealous of the south west arid climate. Where dudes build tube bumpers never paint them and 5 years later it looks like they just put it together. Glad my Tahoe lived in TX its whole life because the RCSB came from PA and it's very brown and bugs me.

That frame is so rusty it looks to be one neutral drop away from breaking in half.

dang, Brick... better coat that one quick!
but for realz... 13yrs & it's way cleaner than 3ys on that nebraska truck. which YES, for the most part looks great - but it's the thick heavy rust on every uncoated square inch & half of the welds that bothers me. some spots are literally worse than mine after 21yrs & 4 northern winters (with most of my stock coating gone now).

and maybe i'm gunshy after the LLY i bought 5yrs ago... looked almost that good through the fenders, but underneath was a disaster! a line coming off the fuel cooler literally rusted through on the drive home & was dumping fuel on the road.

It only really started getting that way after an off roading trip 2 years ago. Since its 15 years old now maybe I will get to it in the next 5 years... LOL

CA 1 owner truck with dealer service history and still under 130K... and it was 8 -10K cheaper than an LBZ of similar mileage.

Someday I will LBZ swap it. I already have a complete pull out Just need to reseal it and convert the trans on the pull out to 4x4.
