Here's the part number that I have written down that I got from this website...hopefully someone can confirm it once and for all and we can put it in a sticky somewhere (unless it already is in a sticky and I missed it...I have a tendency to forget to look at the push pins) Here it is: 24228709

What advantage does this stall have over another. Will it perform better than the stock stall on my z71 yet give me good performance off road too?

this converter should stall around 2400rpm on your 5.3, your stock one stalls @ ~1500rpm... gives you good lowend and by it being a gm part it is supposed to keep your towing capabilities....

watch the shipping cost from gmpartsdirect. it can add up and also find out if you have to send your core back. if so, that cost money in shipping. if you don't i think they will charge you a hundred bucks or so. it's been a while since i was looking at the tb stall so things could have changed.

Actually, that is is the stall have have in my truck and I really like it. Mine was $175 to my door from a guy on eBay.

I was just giving a price on the GM TB stall for reference . I like the DACCO stall better, because from what I've been told ALL DACCO stalls have furnace brazed fins, where the factory TB stall are not.
