Default Help with Low oil pressure

I finished the swap on my truck with a forged ls3 with cam everything is brand new inside. I start it up and it runs good only thing was tune was bad then battery died on next start up. Next day I start it after charging battery and the low oil pressure light comes on and the guage stays at about 5psi. Engine light is off and the motor doesn't get overheated. I changed the oil pressure sending unit and still just going to 5psi. I changed oil to 10w30 and still the same. Any help on what else I can look at or just a bad cluster or maybe tune?

Could it be the plastic galley plugs on the block I don't think machine shop put them in?

What kind of oil is being used? This is getting way to common these past few months. Reason I say is 4 motors here local all started to have very low oil pressure and all have been using Royal purple. A couple of factory motors and a couple built. Now I know it's a stretch but this is the most I have ever seen at once of a group of motors failing due to low oil pressure. Now yours might not have anything to do with the oil, like stated above could be missing something but a buddies fresh motor from a reputable engine building is experiencing the same thing. I know everything was checked and not missing anything as it builds good oil when cold just falls all the way down when warmed up.

I was told to use non synthetic so right now I'm running 10w30 pennzoil oil. But when I start truck I don't even get any oil pressure it just stays around 5-10 psi. But I think it's the little barbell plug that I'm missing.

I just went through this as we'll. my issue ended up being the new cam bearings I had the machine shop install. They were installed incorrectly. But I tried all kinds of others stuff first could be your pick up tube o ring, can retainer plate, oil pump pressure relief valve or a couple other things. If you had good oil pressure the first time you ran it I would start with the o ring. Mine had low oil pressure from the start and got worse around 500 miles later.
