Default CST 4" Lift Pics

I posted these in the GM general discussion forum, but thought I'd put them up here too. I know opinion is divided on 2wd lifts, but I'm real happy with it.

In the sunlight. It needs a bath...

Looks awesome! That is exactly how I want my truck to sit. Those are 285/70R17's right?

Edit and what size block do you have in back? Just a 2"?

Thanks. You are correct, these are 285/70/17 BFG's. I'm using a 3" block. I saw pictures of trucks with the recommended 2", and the rear looked to be a little low, so I went an inch higher, and am really happy with it.

Looks great. what sucks is that the other brand trucks start out that height from the factory, and GM makes them look like cars.

My 2WD was lifted 6" and had 33s on it, so lifted 2WD's don't bother me. I was able to drive thru several ditches and high flood waters without a problem, didn't need a 4x4 for my uses. Pics here: https://ls1tech.com/GMC.html

The spindles were around $650, you can get Fabtech's or Rough Country's for cheaper, but they only give you 3" and won't clear the 285's without additional body lift, which I did not want to do.

GM 2wd's definitely start out low, but I'm about even with the HD 4wd's or a 1500 Z71 with the TB's cranked and keyed now. I had thought about going with the 7" long travel kit that CST makes, but I still need to fit into parking garages, and I'll be cutting it close in places as is.

I'm also feeling better with the extra 5.5" breathing room through the flash floods that happen here every couple of months. In stock form, my truck wasn't much better off than my wife's Infiniti.
