It wasn't cheap at about $150 said and done. It is a beautiful piece, though. Very nice quality. Has a steel lining and everything.

Thanks, man!

Alright, gentlemen, I ordered up a Corsa diesel muffler (for a Cummins to be exact), it was the last piece of exhaust that wasn't stainless and thanks be to Vortec350SS I am over the top thrilled at how the truck sounds now. Genuinely can't believe the difference.

I also finally got around to blocking out the rear o2's and hooking up the front ones.

I disassembled the factory rear o2 and used GM weather plugs and made delete plugs. One of the many bonuses of being a GM tech is having all this stuff at your fingertips.

Here is a header shot, amazed at how these headers clear absolutely everything, guess I'm used to owning small block swapped minitrucks with zero room.

Remember those exhaust hangers? Well, I finally took pictures of everything.

I have some videos but Photobucket is not playing nice, so perhaps I'll load them on YouTube later.

So, with the Pacesetters installed, I noticed that #3 ign wire was resting on the primary - literally no matter how I twisted it and turned it it was always touching and wound up burning through the wire - go figure. So, I got a set of DEI titanium glass boots. The header paint has also taken a complete **** on me so I'll wind up getting the headers ceramic coated in the near future as it is currently driving me wild.

I have another update but figure this seems like a decent spot to stop for now.

Also, wanted to ask you fellas - I definitely need to get some springs and retainers for this thing - I know, I know, shame on me for running stock springs and retainers with a cam... I know! So what should I get? I'm having a hard time finding any info on newer motors. I know that the lifters are the same as the predecessor LSx engines as I've got the Cadillac racing LS7 versions in my truck now. Are the "old style" springs the same?

Everything looks awesome! Glad you like that muffler. It sounds awesome!

I can't help you with some of the spring questions, but I will say I had great luck with the PAC 1518's in my more mild set ups. I have never heard of any breaking which is nice.

I would call a vendor and ask them. I checked Texas speed quickly but they dont have anything listed for the LTx yet. I'm sure they would know having already spec'd LT1 camshafts.

Truck is turning out sick man. The taylor 409 plug wires are the way I went so far for my turbo set up they have a angled boot that works pretty perfect if you still have issues and there cheap.

I've had great luck with the 1518s as well, got 40k (miles, not KM) on the set that are in my LQ4 with no issues.

I will do that! I did some snooping on GM SI and found out that the older LS-based motors and the new LT motors share identical spring measurements aside from install height. That being said, the install height is even almost identical... I think it was 20 thou... can't remember exactly now.

Thanks man! I'll definitely look in to those, probably would be worth the time and money.

Good to hear! Thanks!

Here's that other update for you fellas, I ordered a set of paint-matched flairs and installed them finally... world of difference. I absolutely love them.

And here's a video for you guys... not sure if it'll load properly or not...

I've also finally got a dyno appointment booked. The truck gets tuned Friday at 10am. Finally going to have all my woes dealt with. I am super excited to get the tune done and see some numbers. Tracks should be opening soon around here too.
