HooWybrow's 2014 DCSB 6.2L #ruined4x4
Hey guys, long time lurker, figured I would finally make a build thread for my new truck.
Some back ground, I ordered it mid-January. Wanted a regular cab but wasn't able to order one with a 6.2L. So up to a "Double cab" I went. Glad I did now, the extra room is nice.
I lowered it, a lot. It's still 4wd, I built a standalone helper bag setup for the rear, it still pulls really well.
I've installed a Comp Cam 624-500-13 cam, Cadillac racing lifters (lighter than LS7), and Katech AFM delete valley cover. Just got it running again end of last week, we started tuning last night and will continue to do so over the next little while. I ran a 14.4 completely stock, hopefully will hit a mid-13 with the cam and tune. Hoping to have it tuned and get to the track at least once before it snows here, but that may be pushing it.
Ideally I'd like to have a reliable 12 second, 6800lbs truck, but we'll see what happens over this winter, hahaha.
Anyways, here's some pictures. Over the next while I'll post dated pictures of the build along the way.
It trailers cars quite regularily:
Anyways, hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!

Sweet truck dude, glad you joined here, for some reason your truck keeps popping up on my Instagram's "Explore" window, I have a thing for Lowered 4x4 trucks Looking forward to seeing the progress. I'm also hoping to hit the track before snow, maybe I'll see you there depending on where you go.
