Default 650 rwhp build

hey guys i am new in this forum,

i would like to build my 5.3l sierra engine so i can put 2.9l whipple and go for high boost like 16 or 17 psi,

My target is to get 650 rwhp or more.

I know i have high compression ratio and it will be the main problem with this amount of boost. Our pump gas is 91- 93 octane but we can put ms 109 race fuel if we want to race.

- So i need from you guys to tell me what compression ratio is good for 16 or 17 psi?

- And i need to know what pully size can give me this amount of boost?

Also i decided when i put the 2.9l whipple i will put a custom cam on my car.

- I also want you guys to recommend for me a good cam size for my target.

I will use the car on street, i need the cam range to be from 2000 - 6000 RPM

Please advice and help.....

Call the guys at Whipple and see what their thoughts are on your goals. I don't know if they warranty their products, but they may be able to assist you in a way to attain your goal of 650whp while still keeping your investment relatively secure. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

Custom cam, longtubes, procharger, some kinda of fuel (methonal/e85) and let her eat. Theres a guy on here making 700+ in his procharged 15 5.3.

I have a feeling you are going to run out of injector and pump before you ever see 650 whp.

A member here did LT4 injectors, LT4 high pressure pump and custom camshaft with fuel lobe change and ran out at 640 whp on E85.
