quick question about TB....

Default quick question about TB....

i have a 2001 4.8(drive by wire) but the motor i got today is a 2004 6.0 and it has a electroic tb. what do i need to do to convert dbw to the electronic tb or vise versa.

Just reuse your original intake manifold and throttle body. It will be much easier that way. The manifolds are essentially identical except for the throttle cable bracketry, and the throttle bodies themselves are the same size.

FYI, you have a cable throttle body, not drive-by-wire. DBW is the same as electronic.

DBW is possible on traction control equipt trucks. They are rare but some are floating around out there.
