Mine 2wd short bed extended bad truck is 5400 at the track, with tail gate. I'm not sure why it's so light...

Just tring to figure how much power it will take to beat a crotch rocket.
Are you serious????? LOL. Lets talk about what you need to do to your truck. Strip it down best you can. Turbo charge your motor (probablythe best thing, change your tranny to a 4L80E and setup the rearend with a spool and suspension to hookup and some sticky tires with a lot of rubber contact on the pavement. And maybe you'll have the power and setup to do your thing. Horsepower alone will do nothing without something to transfer that power and not waste it in tire smoke. You need power, transfer and hookup and enough gear to get you in front and stay there at least till you cross the finish line. Oh your truck is HEAVY also, u need lots of work.

That's a 20 year old post buddy...

And I will run any motorcycle that thinks he has a chance, most aren't dedicated enough to pull me off the line and once I'm out front it's over...

It's funny to me how they will sign up just to swing their pair. I had to go back and look at my earlier response to figure out what broken link was in it and fix it.

And I'll add it for this new 2 wheel wonder, too:
