6.0 Lq4 vs 6.0 lq9
Basically my question is which one would be better?
For NA and maybe N20
Long story short im debating on buying an lq4 or an lq9
I will have it Fully Bolt On since I have those parts from my old motor. Ive read the lq9 is better for NA since it has more compression. But how much can you spray without damaging anything?
And how much can you spray on the lq4? Take note they are both stock blocks with just bolt ons and tune.
I know I cant get exact answers since every motor is different, But if y'all can help me with any experienses you've had etc would be good!
Thanks in advance

From what ive read the lq9 will take a 75-100 shot of nitrous with no problems at all..i would assume the lq4 would handle a little more since its a lower compression motor...My vortecmax has the lq9 and my plans are a cam swap, 8.1 marine injectors, LT headers, tune and possibly a small amount of nitrous..

The difference in price to get the LQ9 over an LQ4 that basically is a giveaway engine soley on quantity made isn't worth it. Especially if we are talking about the LQ4 engines manufactured in the 2004 calendar year and on onward. The flat top pistons really aren't worth the price premium..... Nice to have no doubt but still.
