Its an inverted flare to an AN fitting. Both are flare type and require no sealant.

Default AN fitting problem

So i purchased this XRP -6AN to 5/8-18 inverted flare fitting thinking it would work on the tru cool max 40k and it seems to be something is wrong or i am missing something with these inverted flare fittings. The inverted fitting side looks nothing like 5/8-18 whatsoever has anyone seen this before?

2010 1500 5.3 and Z-71 with the 6L80E, heard that all I need is the 40K cooler, two of the dorman 800-605 fittings and two of the Hayden 397 line fittings?

I have a 2010 silverado with aux tranny cooler. Going with the Napa fittings and stock lines. Is there still any way to get the EAD brackets or is there plenty of bracketry that come with the 40K?

Just installed mine in a 2008 Avalanche. I did not have a factory cooler. Plenty of space and plenty of brackets from the kit. I used sheet metal screws in a couple places. Work fine.

There's no good way to install one inline with the radiator. Unless I missed something in 27 pages. I'll edit with part numbers. I hooked the push lock lines up to the factory ones No cutting. Pulling a 2000lb boat from Chicago to Saint Petersburg going 70mph, I was at 135 degrees. About 75 outside. Going through the mountains it got up to 160 once. I live in south Florida, not concerned about freezing. I'm at 130 or so all day in 90 degree weather.

Look at my post #252. I ran the output of the radiator to the cooler and the output of the cooler all the way back to the transmission.

Nice install. Out of curiosity, why do you think you needed fans?
