Default how many qt's or transmission fluid to refill after dropping the pan?

I'm dropping the pan, once again, to pull the remaining washer out of the 1st-2nd accumulator. How many qt's do you think I'll need to fill it back up? I put too much in it last night, it showed full after cycling through the gears and checking it at operating temp, but this morning after driving it then letting it idle for about 10 mins, it showed over full by about a quart....that's not normal is it?

the pan doesn't hold that much. I put either 5.5 or 6.5 in there yesterday, and it was right on, but then over full this morning

well, I put 5.5 qt's in it this time, cycled through the gears, it shows full, right on the money. I'll check it this afternoon and see how it reads.
