80e out of what?
just wondering if theres an 80e thats best to use for swap into my 01 rcsb 2wd.
i did search and came up with threads for them, but most dont list what their donor vehicle was.
i know there are a few fitment variances, and internal differences.
im hitting up the junkyard tomorrow and have a selection between a few vans, trucks, suburbans etc.
thanks.

Yea the 1991-1996 cores seem to be what the big builders like. You can tell easily by the cooler ports. On the cores I mentioned, both ports are close together right behind the bellhousing. On the newer cores, the return cooler port was moved further back in the case for center lubrication.

I'd bring a tape and measure the different models that you're going to look at.
Do you know the years of which you're going to look at?
Call around to different trans shops, maybe try some of the vendors.
Check out some of the swap threads.
I wish I could've more help
I don't want to hijack your thread.
I'm actually curious to know for myself. Which model would be best for my 07 Tahoe?

I used one out of a 2006 Chevy 2500hd. If that helps. I have a older model one it looks identical to the newer one. It just doesn't have the top bolt and has bolt on yoke.
