Yea the air was REALLY good on thursday. But yea, shorter tires and modding my SLP airbox were only mods. Tires on now are 1" shorter than whats on my 20s. As far as the airbox goes, there are only 2 holes in it. One on the bottom and one on the side towards the fender. So I decided to make a small hole in the front of the airbox behind the headlight

I can tell you this much, between that hole and leaving the lid off, it makes a good difference. Before the new making the new hole with lid on, IATs would be +2/+6 over ambiant while driving. Now they usually never go over +2/+4 ambiant and at night I regularly see up to -2 under ambiant!

Im going to try and reuse the airbox once I get the turbo stuff on.

I can't believe I forgot about this thread!

Since the last time I posted, I have added a cam, headers, and ORY, but the trans is still stock. Got my 30.5" tires on for the season and I'm hitting test and tune tonight to see how my times are with this cam.

Last time I ran the truck was right after the cam install. It had a poor tune and bad knock sensors. I've since replaced the sensors and have a BlackBear tune back in my truck now. It ran a 10.05 before the new tune and sensors. So i'm hoping I'll beat my PB of 9.85 and be closer to 9.5/72 now.

Looking forward to see what new times you get at the track.

Is your SLP cai just the box with filter or does it also have a tube coming from the throttle body?

Its the full intake. But you can see what I did to it back a few posts.

Well time wise, I beat my PB, but by only .05 but my MPH was up almost 2.5 mph. All runs did beat my PB et and mph though. First two runs were right off the street back to back. Last two runs were also ran back to back. My starting IATs were 90-100 even though it was 60* ambient. But would drop into 70s by the end of the run. I can also tell I REALLY need to get rid of this stock converter.

_____60ft____ET____MPH
1st - 2.326, 9.838 @ 73.58
2nd - 2.320, 9.812 @ 74.04
3rd - 2.304, 9.801 @ 73.69
4th - 2.325, 9.846 @ 73.55
