No there physically isn't enough room under the bed to run a 3" shackle. the problem is that a 3" shackle isn't just 1" taller than a 2" drop shackle. Since you're only changing one mount point of the leaf spring it needs to be taller than that.

You can do one of several things:
-Take out your overload spring
-Run a drop leaf
-Run a flip kit with air shocks

What Random said, and i would recomend a notch for anything more than 4" so you dont hit the frame all the time.

i have 3 inch springs in the front, 4 inch springs in the back and 2 inch shackles with aftermarket overload springs which makes it about a 3/5 drop. i also have my frame notched.

You should have 3 leafs in your leaf pack. The bottom one is much smaller and is used for towing that is the overload. You will notice a slightly bumpier ride.

tons of people have taken out their overload springs.....good for helping lower the truck but bad if you still use the truck as a truck like i do
