took it to the track this weekend. didnt run like i thought it would. 14.45 @ 98mph with a 2.37 60ft . only made 2 runs and said **** on it and started drinking beer. i dont like the 1st gear of that 80e. with my 60e the truck would go 36mph in first. it now goes 55. its going back to the tuner soon though since my motor picked up a cylinder. hoping to get another 100-120 ponies out of it.

Your motor must be magic if it can make a cylinder disappear and reappear! That was scooting along pretty good IMO

yeah the motor i put in sat for a while and must have had a stuck ring that came unstuck about an hour after i left the dyno. oh well, round 2 ding ding ding!

I had the same problem when I went from my 60 to 80E with my 3.73's. That was even with the maggie making a **** load of low end. I swaped out to 4.10 gears and it fixed that dead spot right out of the hole and dropped 8-10mph off of first gear.

 

man i dont want to change gears in the front and rear diff, im thinking some laughing gas to get her out the hole
