converter questions?

Default converter questions?

ok on my 04 5.3 ecsb im getting hp tuning and thinking about putting a converter in it what stall should i use any brand recommendations

3000 should be stock on all trucks!!

depends on what plans you have for the future (cam, heads, LTs, blower, etc) because you really don't want to do it twice if you don't have to.

Good question.

What you need to know is if you plan on installing a cam in the future your converter should be matched so that any lost bottom end is made up for by a higher stall speed.
2800-3000rpm stalls are just fine for a fairly stock to mild cam.

Two house favorites are Yank and Precision Industries, Yank has more afordable converters and both offer top of the line billet converters.

A fast truck is not about it's parts, it's about how well it's parts work together.

First I would look at the sponsors--------------->

I went with Edge Racing Converters and love it, they custom build every converter, and reasonably priced. Trevor make a very good point, you need to come up with a plan, then pick the parts.
