Hi,
What does a shift kit do that HPT (software tuning) won´t do in a new 4L60E with the propper tune?

Turning up the line pressure thru HPT will give you a fake shift kit, the feel but the trans will not like it as much as with the actual changes inside, then if you add some power your trans will go bye bye, not to mention the servos that have better holding pressure...get the shift kit!

Ull notice the diff right away...tuning the shift points will improve the performance, but it won't give u the crisp grip u get with the kit. SOTP will be obvious right away. In a lighter vehicle if u did both ud get the nice jerk and chirp the tires from 2nd to 3rd...R/

Electronically toying with the LP isnt the way to get a "shift kit." Nor is it safe. Dont underestimate a full TransGo shift kit. It comes with alot of parts to cure many, but not all, of the shortcomings in the 4L60E. The addition of billet intermediate and over-drive servos will give shifts quite a kick!
