Default efi live and tow/haul button

Mods: can you move this to the tuning section please? Thanks

Ok, i have never had a tuner before but i will be buying efilive this year. My question is can you program the tow/haul button to be a performance mode instead of a haul mode. like can you change timing, shift points, etc for it and then run an everyday driving style when its off. i will also be running a built 4l60e with 3200 converter. thanks ahead of time

Bryan

Yes you can. The tables you adjust are called Performance. Those are the tables that are used when you press the Tow/Haul button.
You can adjust the shift speeds, shift firmness and TQ managment as well. You will not be able to adjust any engine parameters like fueling, timing, etc though. It only works for the trans tables.

The tow haul is only tranny parameters, not engine parameters like timing for example.

I have EFI live coming and I am wondering if all the tuning changes be made in the tow/haul mode "off" and when tow haul is "on" everything is back to stock for towing.Hope the question is clear?

Cool

Yes you can leave the Tow/Haul ( Transmission Performance Mode tables stock) and it will work like it does now with Tow/Haul mode activated. The problem is some of the general switches and constants that you can change can affect operation in either Tow/Haul setting so you will want to think about the effect they will have on your truck's operation when towing before you change them. The main ones are Abuse Mode, PWM ( Positive Force Motor Current Table and Negative if you have one ) and TM. Any changes you make to these will in most instances affect both Tow/Haul mode settings.
