My truck is an 04 GMC 4x4 with 5.3; Radix; 3.73's, and 31" tall tires. What would be a good recommendation for a converter, or should I even bother, what with the torque the Radix makes down low. I don't do any towing. :drive:

I was told anything more than a 3000 is overkill. I believe a stall would benefit you.

You Can Get A 10 Pct S/c - Nos Coverter.the Converter Is Very Light And Does Not Flash High.these Things Work Great.

I ran a YankTT3000 with my 5.3 Radix setup and liked it really well.It stalled about 3200 with the Radix and had excellant street manners.

Your stock converter will stall 500-700 rpm higher with the radix installed due to the increased torque output. A 2500- 3000 is about the best. I ran a 2600 with a 6.0 and a radix and was able to put down some 1.52 60s on ET streets. I have yet to see any better 60' times from anyone running this setup.

I say if you play around at the track and tow with it a lil that a 2600 stall would probably be the best way to go. There are alot of peeps here that tow with a bigger stall than 2600 without any probs but i don't see the need of anything bigger than 2600 unless you have a huge cam or are out to race. Just my 02

With a radix you have such a wide powerband why give it up to a high stall converter! I have the same torque at 2000 rpm that I have at 3000 and 4000 rpm so why not use it all?
