Default 6.0 or 6.2

Hey guy need some help. My 03 Silverado 5.3 is about to go out so I need a complete swap. I prefer 6.0 lq9 or 6.2 motor, tranny, harness, etc that's compatible with 03 Silverado. I need one ASAP. I tried Craigslist, offer up and other sites but no luck and eBay is to high on price. I live around the Houston area

03 has a return fuel system. 04 and up is return less. If you stick with a 6.0 you'll be able to run your fuel system/intake with just the injector change. You'll want the computer unless you're going to change the tune in your ECU.

Depends if it's a 6.0 or 6.2 and if it's completed. I found a 6.2 complete with tranny, harness and ECU for 3,000 BUT it was off a 2012 which I would have to do a lot of modifications. Not worth the hassle. PM me if you have anything interesting. To answer your question, I would have to say less than 4K. Maybe 5k just depends

That's good info. Learn something new everyday. I would never thought the 03 and 04 had different fuel system. Thanks bro. Good stuff.

They have different fuel systems but that doesn't matter... you aren't buying the fuel system you are only buying the motor. Your 5.3 fuel system will work with either motor with simple fuel pump and injector upgrades.

That said you will want a Gen 3 for the easiest sweap. Basically any Iron 6.0 from 1999-2007 body style trucks.
