I just went through my second set of Magnaflow cats as well. Passenger side one started ratling, had my smog done in Santa Fe Springs for about $250 in March. Thinking about just putting in fake cats since I'm already paying it to pass. I've ran into a few roadblocks here in SoCal where they check random vehicles for smog on those moving dyno's. Not cool, haven't been put on one yet though.

i have been in socal my whole life...luckily never seen the rolling dynos. what cities/highways have you seen these?

We got a rolling dyno around the Stockton area.

If you guys want some proven cats that flow great and hold up.Then try picking up a set of 2500 6.0 barrel cats at the local wrecking yard.

hmmmm sounds good, but I thought the 1500 cats flow pretty good too...

the 1500 cats do flow really well, but they are 2.5" my setup is stainless works 1.75x 3" long tubes with true dual 3 inch system.
