IIRC, you will need any Snell 2000+ starting this year.

Good prices online can be had at Chapperal and Ebay.

I picked up one of these Snell2005 helmets for $120:

I went to sac with just a cheap 75.00 Walmart motocycle helmet. First few days I went I just said I was slower than 13.9 than after that they didn't ask to see my helmet and I didn't volunteer to show it. Pretty much all they care about is if you went 13.9 or faster you better have a helmet on you noggin. They reall don't inspect to closely. But I am sure you can borrow on of ours while your there.

You mean Road Rider on Monterey Highway? I was thinking of stopping by there.
So is it a Snell SA2000 or 2005 minimum requirement for 2007 NHRA regs?

Not sure you need SA. That is important since SA helmets are fire tested, and M helmets aren't. The SA helmets are more expensive. It has always been SNELL Mxxxx in the past up to 10.00.
