Default Durango, Co Ski Trip

Anyone live around the area?I am going to visit some family up there and so some boarding for a few days. My wife and I want to eat somewhere nice downtown for a night as celebration of our anniversary. Any suggestion?
thanks,
Chris

Where are some good places to eat? Things we need to do other than the Train ride?

I think I texted you back last night, sorry it took so long, was driving home from my wife's parent's house 3 hours away. If you like Italian, there's a place in town called Mutu's that was pretty good. Other than that, we never really went to "nice" restaurants. Steamworks is a great brewery with good food and tons of beers on tap. Durango Brewing Company is a small place where mostly locals go, they have a couple beer types that are all good. Durango Wheat is one of my favorite beers ever. Not much in the way of food, but it's a chill low-key place. I think we had a grilled cheese there once

If you're up on the mountain, Purgy's turns into a little bit nicer restaurant at night. Also, at Sow's Ear (a few miles south of the ski area at Silverpick lodge) has a really nice steak house.
