Default CARB & headers

So its been awhile since I've been around and the search isn't helping me much. What are you Cali guys doing for headers? Are you just going with long tubes and planning return to stock when smog comes around?

Most of us got longtubes and when smog comes there's always a friend that has a friend that will help you with that.

The only decent CARB approved headers are the bassani mid length pieces. Pricey!

Everyone I know is LT'd or stock, except me, I'm shortie'd lol. It's personal preference, it's who you know and how much you wanna spend or risk while driving. That simple. I personally prefer the peace of mind having my CARB stickers present so I can tell the cop to kick rocks if stopped. $40 smogs without hassle are nice. Just weigh your options, personality, budget and goals.

Well, you either pay someone to smog it, find a place that will over look the visual (rare), or put the stock stuff back on.

I had to smog my truck the other day, and the guy almost failed me because of my catch can! I broke out my hose clamp pliers and swapped the hoses right in front of him, then he passed it. What an ***.
