Good luck with the swap! If you have your motor ready on the stand the swap is a breeze. The things that slow you down are the gems like broken off exhaust manifold bolts and stripped collector bolts on the stock exhaust.

haha, yeah I plan on just unbolting the headers and we may need to try and shift the exhaust back a little to wiggle the 4L80E in. But its not something Im not prepared for so it should be pretty quick.

Alright tomorrow is it! Finally!

Gonna wake up about 9 or so and start on it hopefully about 10. So come over about 10 or so and lend a hand if you can/want and hope for some smooth sailing

Well the sun was setting today and the 4.8 was still in the truck...
Fail


Aj had to whip out a "magnum xl" extension for the motor mount


We made some progress, the driveshaft is getting as new yoke and the motor/trans is ready to be pulled first thing tomorrow.

too funny Jeff... good times. Im a little disappointed in our advancement today but its really not all bad. Tomorrow I think if we bust some *** we can get it pulled, swapped, in and hopefully fired by night fall. Im gonna work on the connector/wires situation.
