Well, it's illegal to hunt with them either way...at least here it is. But I have close ties to people in states where it isn't, plus, it's just fun. It isn't set in stone, but we've been discussing it, and it is more about the preservation of my ears, than not alarming the animals. I screwed my hearing up in the NAVY.

 

hell yes, my hearing is TOAST. i kick myself in the *** everyday for never wearing ears while shooting for 10 years.

 

main reason i have 2 suppressors,, i hate having to carry ear plugs.. and a deer hasnt a clue a bullet just passed by when your over 700yds away ask me how i know.....

 

my bullets dont fly past them at 700yds... they go in them

 

Guess you have never tried to shoot 5 of them with a bolt action that you have to load one round at a time cause the COL is too long to fit in the magazine. Doh

Thats the day i found out if i slam the bolt home on my 300WM, it will fire
