Question RBCD Ammo

A neighbor just finished completing his CHL class this past Sunday and he said the instructor showed them youtube vids on this ammo. He sent me a text and said that he was going to get some. He went on about how badass this ammo was and it was worth the money($38 for 20rnds). He sent me some links of the video and then I started researching this San Antonio Tx made ammo. Anyways, just wanted to open a can of worms and see what y'all think of this ammo. I'll chime in every now and then. Do your own research and lets discuss. This ammo has raised a lot of questions with personal protection and the military too. Just search the above stated title. Can't wait to see what y'all find out. I personally think this ammo is garbage.

There are a ton of studies, water and gel tests on the major brands and the general consensus is they all do a pretty good job. Caliber also plays a big role in how a given bullet design works. Thus the 357sig that seems to be popular these days or my personal favorite the 45. Also depends on what you're going to use it for. For home defense I don't want a round that's coming out really hot and can go through a wall and possibly injure my family. Which is why I like the 45, big, slow and packs a punch without ridiculous over-penetration. I like the Winchester Ranger Ts personally and they're about 10 bucks cheaper per 20 than the ammo you're talking about depending on the caliber.

Hmm....if this ammo was so great, how come no pds have chosen to use this ammo instead the "standard" issue?

Check this out
The Box O' Truth #38 - RBCD Ammo Vs. The Box O' Truth - Page 1
Basically explains why I don't like super hot light loads. 2100fps out of a 45 is absolutely nuts. That's 3 times what a normal 45 round does.

It'll basically shatter like a .22lr instead of doing it's job.

I'll stick with my 230 gr jhp in .45!

Yea not exactly what im looking for.
Ever shot a deer with a 45gr hp out of a 22-250 at 4000fps?
Very very shallow wound channel but very wide. And alot of sourrounding soft tissue damage from the fragments. But nothing past about 5" deep.

Me, ill stick with my 155gr winchester rangers that i know work great out of my sub compact 40.
Had to test it on a deer, works perfect from 40yds
