Did some horse trading yesterday. I know I am not hurt on the gun, but have no idea what it is worth.
It is an AR-15 CMMG .223. My neighbor ordered the parts and assembled it how he wanted it.
He rattled off stuff fast then I could keep up. I'm not real knowledgable about guns so I will post what he said.
CMMG lower, A2 Upper, Chromemoly barrel and bolt ?receiver?, not sure on the right term there, flash suppressor, adjustable rear stock. Brand new, never fired. 6 clips, and I have a new field pack cleaning kit.

It needs a new home. I would love to keep it, but this isn't the right time for it. Can anyone give me an idea of what it is worth.
PS - I normally never post about having any weapons. Since I don't intend to keep it, I am posting up.

CMMG is not a bad gun, but it is not top tier for sure. I would say it would pull $650 pretty easy. I think you can get a new CMMG factory built for $750-800. Are the mags just USGI? Upgraded followers? The price I stated was just for the rifle. Mags can range from $10-20 a piece.

Well, I just worked another trade. Just got off the phone. A buddy wants the gun. I am getting a 5.3L and 4L60E 2wd, wiring harness, ecm, and all accessories except a/c.
That should fix my little 84 S-10 right up.
Does that sound like a fair trade?

OK, I feel a little better then. A little knowledge can be dangerous. I made some calls and asked around, but no one had heard of CMMG. I decided to take a gamble out on it. My end goal was to part the truck out for enough to get the 5.3L engine, harness, and ecm, and use the TH350 trans behind it.
There was some stuff on the truck that I intended to keep for the 84, but given that I ended up with what I wanted and then some, I can rest a little easier.
