Looking for a budget EDC knife
A store local to me has the following brands of knives, all in a decent price range(most well below $100). Sog, CRKT, Kershaw, Buck, Gerber, Leatherman. Given the choice, what brand would you guys look into and if you have any models in mind, which one. Trying to keep the blade at 3" or less and non-serrated.

I don't know about their folding knifes but I have bought two fix blade CRKT's for a couple of buddy's and they seem to like them and I most say they are a good looking knife.

Kershaw. They're right on the line between top quality, and cheap enough to lose. Any of the Ken Onion designs are great knives. Leek, Chive, Scallion all great options.

I know this isn't one you listed but check out Spyderco. I started with Gerber and Buck, then had a Kershaw, then used one of my friend's Spyderco and never looked back. I have a Delica II stainless and Pro Grip and both would be the perfect size for EDC (these are 5+ years old, so I am sure they have newer, better models out now).

I bought a Klein knife @ an electrician's shop 8 years ago. I handed it to my best man before jumping a flight out of country this past September and never got it back.... the bastard.
I bought one identical to the original in December only to have my buddy buy the same knife for me as a replacement for Christmas.
