I have a marlin 30-30 just like the one you posted a pic of but I am going to be ditching the wooden stock here in a little bit to get a synthetic stock kit on it. Wood is way to heavy for using it as a brush gun. I LOVE the gun though. I got it in a trade for a throttle body spacer! It is such a bad *** gun and so much fun to shoot. It reminds me of cowboys every time I shoot the thing. It doesn't shoot that far though only down side, But that's what my coyote 25-06 is for I am going to be taking my 30-30 bear hunting with me this year. Hopefully it will perform good.
