Default I need you guys help

I'm looking for a S&W M&P Shield in .40... I found two at the gun show today. One for $699 and another for $799 this thing retails for $499 last I checked.

Anyway, have cash in hand if someone can dig one up. I have an FFL dealer setup for transfer if it's out of state etc. Used is fine if in good shape.

I wish Springfield Armory would get a XDS in .40 cal. I'd probably buy 2 of them.

I believe this is what someone I know just bought. I know it is a springfield and a .40. Think it was the XDS. Very nice gun!

Probably an XDm subcompact. I have the XDm compact 3.8 in .40 and yes it's an awesome gun. But I don't believe Springfield has made them in anything but .45ACP yet. I don't mind carrying my XDm in the winter when there's more clothing involved but 10months out of the yr here there's not much to speak of for cold weather. Hell, today I wore shorts and T shirt to the show and tomorrow is supposed to be warmer still in the high 60's

The shield is much slimmer (like the XDs) and the s stands for slim if ya didn't know

I'm still on the hunt, I finally has a chance to shoot and handle one the other day and I liked it just as much as the XDs I tried out if not more. Not to mention the price is a bit better, they're just turning out to be rarer than hens teeth.

And yes, that's the right one you posted there and I've looked on gun broker but they're more prone to the price gouging than anyone being an auction site. I've seen some otherwise cheap guns go thru the roof on there lately. The used one you posted isn't bad but it'll probably end up going for $550 or so, the min bid is $480 even though it's "no reserve" by the time you pay the transfer etc, you're into a used gun for as much as the new one would otherwise cost. No thanks LOL. Sometimes you find stuff on there but normally I strike out bad on gun broker simply because I refuse toget into bidding wars... I'll let it go and keep looking.

I'm on a couple waiting lists locally and spoke to a guy at the gun show who says he thinks he has two a his shop and they're still priced around $475 like they should be. He is a couple hours away in Brenham, Tx but I could probably make a ride out there to pick it up. I honestly didn't know these things were so scarce when I decided this is what I wanted. Freaking figured... Just like anything else right now thanks to Cody's president...

Everything is scarce doesn't matter what type, kind, or brand! Our local gun shop has a decent inventory of guns and ammo but bass pro is completely sold out of hand guns and most common ammo.

Yeah, right now is about the worst time to buy a gun, it's not just ARs and other military looking guns, but everything else as well... my buddy was looking at getting one of those shotguns that looks like an AR, he said in the last 2 weeks the price has gone up nearly $250.

They'll come out with a 9mm and then the .40 after some time. I've been hearing about it since I got wind of the XDs. I love the .45 though, it's really not bad to control and certainly nice to have.

I'll keep an eye out, going to the range Tuesday... I'll shop around while I'm there.

Id appreciate it. I just call all the big stores between Houston and Baton Rouge and they're all sold out. Im on some online notify lists too if someone does receive a shipment. Like I said, a used one wouldn't be a problem either as long as I'm not gonna pay what I would otherwise for a new one. I have seen two XDs's in all black but have been given a budget of $500 by the wife I could fudge some but not a whole lot.
