I read and read when I was trying to decide which 1911 manufacturer I was going to buy, and for a sub $1000 1911 the sig seemed to be a great choice among all the feedback I have read on the various forums. I carry a Sig p250 .45 and I love it. Shoots straight right out of the box and I haven't had a single issue with it, so my confidence in Sig was pretty high anyway. Now I am just getting antsy waiting for it to come in.

I understand completely. If I have the money I usually go overpay @ Cabelas rather than spend a few days looking for a deal, so I have no idea how your doing the one month dance. My dream 1911 is that Springfield TRP posted above but a Sig would be a no brainer second choice for me.

I have a old colt mark IV 70 series. Definitely not gonna win a beauty contest but its never missed a beat and it gets shot A LOT lol. My uncle has a Springfield TRP .45; which is what I'm in the market for. One of the sweetest shooting guns I've ever shot
